Brian’s Story
Brian’s family is devoted to serving Texas. His father’s first job was mowing the capitol lawn, and over the next 60 years he went on to serve his country and state as a prominent and respected public affairs consultant. His mother was a long-time civic leader in Austin, lending her name and support to a variety of charitable causes. Public service is his family’s legacy. His drive, work ethic, and attention to detail are powered by his deep love for his home state.
Brian began his career in the Texas state government as a Research Specialist for the Texas Senate, analyzing hundreds of bills and assessing their impacts on state government and the public. He brought that knack for detail to the TCEQ, where he rose from frontline staff to several senior positions that allowed him to work with all levels of agency management and staff. Throughout his nearly three-decade career, he has helped the regulated community and the general public navigate government and earned a solid reputation as a trustworthy advisor on the particulars of policy and their big picture consequences.
